Today the Cypress team in San Francisco was able to watch history in the making. Congratulations to Team Oracle USA and hopefully Cypress’ Oracle DBA’s interviewing today have the same success!!!

Oldest Sporting Trophy: The first America’s Cup took place in England in 1851. The New York Yacht Club was the winner. America continued to win for the next 100 years. There were 9 America’s Cup races before the first modern Olympic games were held in Athens in 1896.
Winner Takes All: Not only is there no second place winner in the America’s Cup, but the winner gets more than a trophy. They also get to decide the rules and the location of the next America’s Cup race.
No Prize Money: The winning team wins a trophy but no money. They do receive significant pay from luxury sponsors such as Nespresso, Oracle, and Prada.
